The role of medicines is very important in health services because medicines are used to prevent, treat or manage diseases and health conditions. Therefore, the process of drug management in pharmaceutical installations must always be considered. Drug storage process errors are at the top of the list of causes of drug damage. Appropriate and good storage systems play a key role in ensuring that medicines are available in optimal conditions for patients. Damage to medicines due to errors in the medicine storage process can actually be avoided if we can control and monitor the temperature in the medicine box. This research aims to design a smart medicine box equipped with an Internet of Things (IoT) based temperature and humidity monitoring and control system. This research is an experimental research that begins with a set of tools and continues with testing and data analysis. This research produces a smart medicine box that is equipped with a temperature controller that uses a TEC and a DHT11 temperature sensor. The temperature monitoring process can be done via the LCD display and can also be done remotely using a smartphone that has an internet connection. The tool program system can work well with an average percent error in tool temperature readings compared to a digital termometer of 2.06%.
