Implementasi Location Based Service Menggunakan Haversine Formula Pada Aplikasi Pencarian Kendaraan Antar Daerah (Studi Kasus : Konawe Utara)

Abstract

Online transportation usage is increasingly widespread in all areas of Indonesia, mainly in urban areas. This has forced conventional transportation service companies to be more innovative hence their customer can use their services easily. In this case, Habibi Tour & Travel Konawe Utara provides mobility through a vehicle booking application to facilitate communication between passengers and drivers of transportation service providers under Habibi Tour & Travel Konawe Utara. Location Based Service method was used in this research in order to obtain the location of users, both passengers and drivers, based on the Global Positioning System (GPS) point contained in the cell phone. The Haversine Formula was used to calculate the closest distance between two points based on longitude and latitude. After conducting research, researchers expect that the vehicle booking application can facilitate the mobility of locals and visitors to reach their destinations in the North Konawe area more quickly and easily.
